Kayleen Babel
AKA @dance.with.kayleen
I take the stress out of getting stronger and improving as a dancer.
About me
My experience
I started dancing when I was 3 years old, and I’ve trained in ballet, hip hop, pom, modern, jazz, and contemporary dance. Some highlights from my dance journey include four years with the BIG3 Basketball Entertainment Team and being Co-Captain of the University of Houston Cougar Dolls Dance Team. I’ve done a lot along the way–recreational, competitive, collegiate, and professional dance–so I’ve likely been in your shoes and understand the challenges of a dancer's journey.
What I do
I help dancers improve their skills and strength, and I’ve taught hundreds of students in person and online worldwide. I also provide training programs for non-dancers who want to get stronger and feel better.
Why I do it
Safety and proper technique became incredibly important to me after tearing my ACL during my senior year of college. Spending 9 months in rehab fueled my passion for injury prevention and advocacy for strength and conditioning in dance. As a result, I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and am now working towards becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
